Hi, I’m Heather. I’m a Physiotherapist and the founder of Physifitt.
I’ve spent the last seven years practicing Physiotherapy in a variety of settings including Elite Sports (working with local, national and international athletes in Rugby, Gymnastics and Strength Sports), Private Practice, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Orthopaedic Medicine, Persistent Pain Management, Occupational Health and Rehabilitative Exercise.
I have also spent the last few years honing my skills in performance based practice through Strength and Conditioning and Therapeutic Exercise.
The combination of these two areas has allowed me to create a Performance and Recovery Clinic which is able to help you recover from injury faster, improve your overall athletic performance and reduce your risk of future issues occurring.
I’m skilled in assessing, diagnosing and treating injury and illness of your muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bones and fascia to name a few and have undertaken additional qualifications in Acupuncture, Pilates, Strength and Conditioning, Complex Pain Management and Manual Therapy which allows me to take a hybrid approach to your recovery.
I decided to launch Physifitt as I want to help people recover from illness and injury and also perform at a higher level. I know of too many people who have been left disillusioned and disappointed in care that they have received and I hope to change that. My approach puts you at the heart of your goals and we will work together to ensure that you achieve whatever these may be.
Everything starts with an assessment – whether that’s for injury recovery or performance enhancement. This gives us a baseline to work from and a full understanding of what’s been going on to ensure the right course of action is taken for you.
You don’t have to be an athlete to get help from me. My ethos translates across the population so if you have a new injury, an old injury, an ache, a niggle or you want to improve your overall strength, flexibility, endurance, co-ordination or balance get in touch and arrange that first appointment today.
